Chrysler History:
Chrysler Corporation was formed by Kansas-born Walter P. Chrysler (1875-1940), the son of a locomotive engineer. Throughout his life, Chrysler lived inside the world of the transportation. Chrysler joined General Motors as a manager of General Motors Buick manufacturing plant. In fact, he even became president of the division four years later. He later parted ways with General Motors in 1919 and another career as a "doctor of ailing automakers”. The Maxwell Motor Corporation was brought back to life under his leadership and was renamed the Chrysler Corporation. Its subsequent success was unswervingly attributable to the success of Chrysler Corporation’s initial product. The 1924 Chrysler Six, an all-new car offered two significant innovations, a light, powerful, high-compression six-cylinder engine and the first ever four-wheel hydraulic brakes, in a moderately priced vehicle. In 1928, Chrysler acquired Dodge Brothers firm and this made Chrysler the third largest automaker in Detroit. In effect, Walter Chrysler had now entered the books has one of the most successful industrialists of his generation. For several years, Chrysler Corporation was known as Detroits"engineering company because it produced such wonderful items like power steering, power windows, the alternator, electronic fuel injection, the Hemia engine and dozens of other automotive innovations. Amongst the famous products, Chrysler corporation created the worldsfirst streamlined car, the 1934 Chrysler Airflow; the 1955 Chrysler 300 (named for its massive Hemia V8, the first American production engine to produce 300 horsepower) and the other glossy "Forward Look" cars of the 1950s.During the 1960s,the corporation also produced tough cars like Dodge and Plymouth and the Chrysler minivan which has managed to remain one of the most successful vehicles in the automobile industry. In 1987,there was a merger between Chrysler and the famous car brand, the Jeep brand. The Jeep vehicles are known for their durability especially after successes in the second world war. Today, Chrysler LLC has an independent automaker remains one of the most influential players in creating most stylish and best engineered personal transportation.

The Chrysler Corporation began as the Maxwell Motor Corporation, which hired Walter Chrysler in 1921 to help the company out of insolvency. Chrysler struggled with insolvency again in the early 1980s was only helped by Lee Iacocca and the K-car. In 1984,the country introduced the market-changing minivan. In November 1998 Chrysler became a division of the newly formed company DaimlerChrysler AG, created by a merger between Daimler-Benz and the Chrysler Corporation.

Chrysler Pacifica is a 4-door, up to 6-passenger sport-utility with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 200-horsepower engine that achieves 15-mpg in the city and 22-mpg on the highway. Chrysler Aspen is a 4-door, up to 8-passenger sport-utility equipped with a standard 4.7-liter, V8, 303-horsepower engine that achieves 14-mpg in the city and 19-mpg on the highway. Chrysler PT cruiser is a 4-door, 5-passenger sport-utility equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 150-horsepower engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 26-mpg on the highway. Chrysler crossfire is a 2-door, 2-passenger sports car, or convertible sports car.
